In January, students from Concordia Shanghai’s Global Health course traveled to Yunnan for their course field experience. The Global Health course curriculum emphasizes the importance of statistical understanding to evaluate intervention programs worldwide. Through their partnership with CWEF, their students gain tangible experience understanding both the challenges and joys in collecting reliable data to feed into the data models used by large development organizations like the World Bank. CWEF benefits from the students’ enthusiasm, desire to tell the story of the CWEF programs and impact, and time to record data so that it can be available for our own program evaluation.
